Sure we`ve all had our share of   reply to ads we`ve put on sites, papers etc, recently my oh decided as she is heavily pregnant, and i have a new pup and work long hours, she would rehome gutsey,we had a few calls (usual  ) then this bloke phoned e-mailed etc very genuine, agreed to meet up,got there phoned him,phOne turned off waited 2 hours in hot weather,no one arrived still not answering phone.

WHY DO THEY DO IT.? BORDEM OR ARE THEY JUST SAD AND LONELY

I could have it totally wrong, and I hope I have but I've got no time for people who rehome older dogs because they've got a puppy. :( Should have thought about it more before hand.

It really saddens me to see dogs being treated like second hand cars :(

Atleast the person you are complaining about didnt turn up and take the dog and then decide he would get rid of her later on for no good reason. :(

Agree with you 100% Rae.

It's really sad, what a terrible excuse for rehoming a dog :(

It's bad enough when you wait in for someone and they don't show but to go and meet when previously arranged and for them not to show is just inconsiderate and selfish...

I really hope that your OH finds a wonderful home for her dog soon...

Have you thought of taking her to a rescue centre as I believe she's not been spayed. This would be a safer option maybe..

Good luck ;)

do you know me,do you know about our circumstances NO.

Your talking shit, get your facts right

Your wifes pregnancy won't last forever :- " .....As we all know Greyhounds are mainly lazy, so I'm sure Gutsey will cope with a few months of hit and miss walks .....my lot did when I was pregnant and after I had Beej ........ I agree with Rae .......

was your baby born healthy.?

guess what ours wont be.

i offered to retire from work to save gutsey and if there was any other way beleive me we would do it.

Don't even go there , It's your decision and you have your reasons....

I just hope for the best for Gutsey as we all do...

Sorry to hear that your baby won't be healthy. I can imagine that this is a stressful time for you all, possibly worsened by the arrival of a time consuming puppy. Sad that you offered to retire for Gutsey, but cant also take her to work, or find 20 mins a day to walk her.

I hope you find a good forever home for Gutsey, and that it all works out for the rest of you.

No my baby wasn't born healthy but lucky for us he grew out of his illness 5 months after being born .....I'm sorry to hear you have problems ......I would imagine a new pup would demand more from you and would be easier to rehome ....Just my personal opinion of course and I wish you well ....

have to say i agree and i too would have thought a pup would be much more of a strain than an adult dog. hope Gutsey gets a loving permanent home. :luck:

Please contact the greyhound rescue charities, I am sure they would take her and have the time to find the best home for her, which will reduce your stress.

OK - its turning into a fight so this thread is closed.
