Tiny's Not Feeling Well

Tiny's feeling poorly . We went on our local greyhound walk on Sunday in the cold and wet. He had a big thick waterproof coat with a collar and a scarf on, but his head got wet and I think he got a bit cold. He is prone to getting infections.

Now he has got a hacking cough and is sneezing. I have got him some antibiotics and cough mixture, and it is definitely not kennel cough (we had that in Novemebr!!)

He is feeling very miserable and wants lots of cuddles :huggles: . He won't let go of me. If I'm walking round he is holding on to my hand or clothes and if I sit down he climbs up on to my knee (he's 25 kg now so my legs are a bit numb! (w00t)

Does anyone have any suggestions of anything else I can do for him? Or just big cuddles from people so he can read them (he's good and reading :- " ) would be great!

It could be another dose of kennel cough, cos like the human cold it come in many strains and he may just have picked up another one

Well, we have just got back from the vet and apparently it is kennel cough again! So we have got a week of antibiotics, then steroid pills and lung worm treatment just in case!

The trouble is infections never quite clear in Tiny. You think he's okay and then as soon as he meets another dog he gets sick again.

Our dog training class idea goes out of the window now!! :- "

Thanks for everyone's kind thoughts and cuddles and kisses - especially from girls!!

Tiny is feeling much better I think although the antibiotics and cough mixture is knocking him out a bit :wacko: He still says he is soooo poorly that he has to hold on to me and sit on my knee! :- " Actually he holds on to my hand or clothes most of the time anyway. :*

Max is also having the antibiotics just to make sure, but actually he seems fine and I think his coughing is just swallowing water the wrong way!

Max would like to add that he has a poorly leg! He fell over in the garden the other day and grazed his thigh (and oh boy did it bleed!). It wasn't too bad a graze really just bled a lot.

The silly boy has just licked it so much that it has started to bleed again So I've just mopped him up again and sprayed some savlon spray on it, so hopefully it will be okay.

I think he just wanted sympathy and :wub: from girls like Tiny's had! o

Well Tiny is still coughing, we are back at the vet tomorrow to see what he says this time.

Max's graze is healing nicely although he decided to add to it by cutting the back of his leg - not huge but bled loads, I seriously thought he'd cut a vein or something - there was blood on the floor, the bath, me, everywhere! It was a teeny weeny little cut, but deepish - still it is healing now! (w00t)
