So.... I was driving to work this morning, when on an A road with fast moving traffic, I noticed the traffic on both sides had come to a standstill. I wasn't happy as it was still early (usually not much traffic at this time) and I wanted to be in the office a little bit earlier than usual as we had stuff going on. Anyway, I stopped and soon noticed a dog walking in among the stationary cars, with a man following close behind. Both were walking, not running, so it didn't look like a chase. The dog walked in front of the car in front of me, so I got out and managed to attract it over to me. It was a collie, I think, and in the dark, it looked like an older animal. I was able to attract it and hold on to it, it appeared nervous, the coat felt matted but I couldn't really see, and the other guy who was walking in the road came up to it, and it then sort of rolled over into the verge we were now stood on. He had some human biscuits, but the dog didn't seem interested. He picked the dog up, it wasn't his, and I asked if he was going to phone the RSPCA, and he said he was going to drop it off (I assume to the RSPCA). He returned to his van, I returned to my car, and off we went. Hopefully I played small part in saving a canine life today :) I want to find out what happened to it, so if I get the chance later today, I might make some calls. I really hope it's OK.

Well it didn't end up at the local RSPCA centre.

Not sent to the local dog Warden either, so I guess I'll never know :(

Oh no :-( where would he have gone then!?
