Sailing boats on the reservoir

We've lived here over 5 years and I think this is the first time I've actually seen yachts on the reservoir! :-

Was beginning to think they didn't exist!

Excellent photos as usual Gillian, you go on such lovely walks - I really enjoyed looking through all the photos, lots of gorgeous photos of Muffin and Jonah  I also really like the picture of the pathway through the trees and the picture of the two boys walking homeward bound :huggles:

Gillian, those are wonderful pics!! and I did laugh (in spite of thinking I shouldn't) at poor Jonah on the wrong side of the fence. Glad his Dad rescued him!

Gill
It was easier for him to get through as it was a downhill slope - a bit harder to get back the other way - typical Jonah! :clown:

so beautiful over there !! Gorgeous pictures. I wish I was there with you ;)

Those two pictures are my favourite too. They have a gentle quality to them with some nice symmetry.

It was very interesting following your walk around the reservoir Gillian. Trust Jonah to come unstuck, and I could hear you calling the boys not to jump that canal as i looked at that photo! :teehee:

You can tell we've had a very dry May....our reservoir 'beach' is quite exposed as well at the mo'. I'm sure we'll get loads of rain to make up for it in July and August! :nuke:

Just look at that loveable, goofy expression   ......... Jonah, not Richard

I would love to come on your walks with you, Gillian! They are fantastic - so much variety and beauty :D

thank you so much for posting the pictures

Aww love the one of Jonah with his paw on the fence... looks like a lovely place

This is the walk where I first met you Nicola - the very, very wet K9 walk back in February 2006! Looks very different in these photos to how it looked then! We must have been mad to attempt it in such weather (w00t)

Julie (J.T.) - this is in the woods and about half way round. Is that you climbing over the stile, Nicola? JulieD, daughter and friend(?) were with us too and that was it, nobody else was daft enough to brave the weather!

K9Walk12.jpg

The reservoir was empty but I think at that time United Utilities had to empty it to mend a leak (w00t)

Poor wet doggies! :-

Ah yes...that is me in my old blue waterproof coat. I remember that day. (w00t) Vey cold and wet. I had to have a good, long soak in a hot bath to get warm again. How different it was that day. It was so wet and misty you couldn't make out any of the scenery. Looks much better in the sunshine.

Gillian you always take wonderful photos
