Our whippet cross has been a bit trembly for a while mainly one back leg when standing and sometimes when he is sitting a front leg and his head tremble.

Tonight while he was standing near me his whole back end and one front leg were trembling badly.

Should we be worried...he is nine..he basically trembles like he has Parkinsons but i don't think dogs get that

he very occasionally trembles a little when he is lying down but never when he is asleep.

If anyone can shed any light on this i would be very grateful.

taking the beagle to the vets Friday so i will mention whippet boy to the vet and see what he says.

thanks xx

Cant help Im afraid , good idea to have a word with the vet , or even take him along with you Let us know what he says :luck: for good reply

My old black dog, Dante, does it. Only when he is standing relaxed and as soon as he shifts weight or moves off, it stops. My Vet says it is quite common in old dogs and nothing to worry about but I had to let her know straight away if it happened whilst he was sleeping as that is more sinister.

Strangely, since he was diagnosed with his renal problem and has been on medication for that, the shaking does not seem as bad!
