Hi to you all.  We are new whippet owners. our boy is now about 10 months old, I would like to show him or do something with him. His full name is Cockaborn top gent, he is brindle & white I think he is of show lines, but I done really know.  I am a GSD person really.

Is there any thing happening in Essex Please.

Hi

Yes, I would say that he is of show lines but do you know his parentage as this would be the best indicator.

Emma

Hi Emma, The parentage of my dog is as follows:

(Sire) Cockaborn Story Teller (G.Sire)Nevedith Veefa Vespa at Marchpast (G.Dam)Kaymark Fairy Heights

(Dam) Kaymark Regal Step (G.Sire) Kaymark Step To The Beat (G.Dam) Kaymark Royal Mint

Can you tell me from this is he is from show/pet/ stock I know he's not from courseing lines as he is heavy boned compaired to some Lagooner whippets I know. Any help info welcome. :)

Hi Shiralee

Looking at the breeding of the dog it is from show stock and may be of show quality, but without seeing the dog it is impossible to tell. Having said that if you have GSD's (and show them?) do you have any local contacts with show whippets? Otherwise go back to the breeder and ask them. Whippet showing is a lot easier than GSD's  as we dont move them as much. But the competition is just as fierce.

Have you searched for any of the ancestors on-line? I am sure there is at least one photo of Veefa Vespa and probably Kaymark Step to the Beat.

BTW the web address you supply is not correct ie doesn't go anywhere  Should it go to http://www.r-you.com the horse site?

Hi Dawn,

Yes my site is http://www.r-you.com

the horse site. If you look in to my profile I have put the address in correctly but some how ( . ) has changed to ( - )  If any one out there needs a web site built / designed have a look at my work and give me a call. My prices wont scare you. :)

Even if you just want to ask a question about web design feel free to e-mail me

You will be able to find  a picture of  CH Nevedith Veffa Vesper at Marchpast at the following site:-

Vesper is also the sire of my young pup, and has recently left to show in finland. Good luck what ever you decide
