I woke up this morning to find a HUGE Black Back Gull chick in my garden, fledged but unable to fly out of the walled garden due to its huge wingspan and the surfiet of plants. Every time I tried to catch it, it dived into the undergrowth. It ended up staying there all day much to the disgust of the whippies  . I planed to leave all the gates open overnight so that it could get out tonight.
I was just finished ironing at 7pm and went into my bedroom to put things away only to be met by squalks. The bird had casually walked through the house and was exploring my bedroom (w00t) . I closed the door, threw a blanket over it and escorted it off the premisis to the park across the road o . I cannot get over the size of the thing. Its beak was fully 3" long and it was the size of a fully grown cat :x
Marvelllous guard dogs I have, it must have walked right past them  :teehee: :teehee:
