well i fed our jill about 1pm, she had beef, with vegetables, and mixer biscuits, what a time ive had with her, she has been sick 3 times, and i mean sick, lots of it,

all her dinner is on the living room carpet, not that i care about that, thing is she will not leave my side, hers on my lap now as i type this, im thinking the beef maybe off so its in the bin, she is normally a good eater, but has gone off her food now, nor will she drink, i swear to god the look she gave me when she threw up on the carpet was a sorry look, oh well looks like hers on my lap for the night.

By the way the beef she had was the frozen free flow stuff, it was thawed out

Hope Jill is feeling better soon :flowers: :flowers:

Hi Keith,it's not a good idea to mix raw meat with any cooked products,ie mixer/complete/biscuits etc as it can upset the digestive system.

Tree bark powder is excellant for digestive upsets, available from Dorwest

Hope she feels better soon :huggles:

Big hugs to Jill, I hope she's feeling better soon :huggles: :huggles: try and get some water in her Keith even if you have to shringe it in with a medicine shringe so she doesn't dehydrate

I don't know where you are but I heard of a young dog up north recently that had picked up a nasty stomach bug. Could it be that?

Do you have a thermometer so you can check on the dogs temp? If not the digital ones are really easy to use and if you know what your dogs temp is it does help if you end up having to phone a vets at out of hours times.

My greyhound had a bug this week, with a temperature of 105F. This made her sick.

Take her temp if you can. Rosie was also lethargic and felt very hot. A trip to the vets for a jab worked a treat!

Hope she is better soon

just to let you all that jill had me up at 3 40 this morning, she sleeps on a chair at the side of my bed, she was moaning, thats not like her she never moves till i get up at 6, anyway i let her outside, then she came in, had 2 rounds of toast, and a drink, she never came up for air, so a big thank you to all that replied to my post, it must have been the beef i got from the pet shop, which is in the bin.

thanks, keith

So glad to hear Jill is on the mend Keith, it's such a worry when they are poorly :sweating:

Wow! What a relief! (w00t) :sweating: Personally, I only buy meat for the dogs that's fit for human consumption. If I can eat it, then so can they.

Except for tripe!! :x

That's what I think too - except I'm vegetarian, so I have to pretend I would eat it!! (w00t)

Glad she's on the mend. :huggles:
