Crikey that's brought back some memories, my grandad swore by knitbone/comphrey and always had some either hanging in his shed or some mixture he'd made up in a bottle. He used it on all sorts as well, bruising, sprains, stiff necks, i remember him splinting a dogs leg once and bandaging the leaves around it.
Fab news, bet you can see light at the end of the tunnel now. Good Luck Jimmy :luck:just to update everyone on Jimmy he went back to vets today and wow  at long last the pins are out hes now back to a having a dressing on for 2 weeks then the stichies come out  i have to keep him still with no running about on the foot for 2/3 months (w00t) for the bone to grow but the vets really pleased with it now
Great news  Although how your gonna keep him still for a couple of days i'll never know  ,never mind a couple of months. OMG i've just thought of something  oh and thanks for the phone call :-
Glad I wasn't with you :sweating: You do realise now he's running about,he'll rule the roost even more :lol:just to let everyone know Jimmy is doing really well !! i let him off the lead for the first time and he had a run round why i kept my eyes closed :sweating: he was fine early days yet and still not sure i will ever race him again but its nice that he can still have a free run
