With a heavy heart I have to tell you that Hatty has sadly passed away.
I came home from work on Thursday to find her on the conservatory floor, she had been dead some time. I'm obviously distraught at the thought that I wasn't here at the time, and may have been able to do something. She had had several strokes over the past few years and it had affected her balance, particularly her left side. Since the previous week she had been unable to rise from a prone position if lying on her left side so I knew the end was close
She was an absolute darling and totally devoted to me - annoyingly at times, when I couldn't even leave the room without being followed! She was our best racer and gave us some great memories. None greater than seeing her win her VC at Andover, after missing out in three Champs finals when younger.
She leaves behind 2 daughters and 2 grandsons, and thankfully I still have one of each (Lisa and Frankie) she also leaves a big hole in my life and at the moment I'm struggling - I always knew it would be painful but didn't realise just how much. No one likes to admit that they have a favourite child, or pet, but its a fact that Hatty WAS my favourite from the day she was born - 3 hours after all the others had popped!
I have a photo album of some of my fave piccies if the link works you can go take a look.
Go with all my love Hatty, you were the best.
