Hi everyone,

Although we didn't manage to get around to holding a fun day in 2006, the Irish Terrier Breed Rescue are hoping to have one in June 07 and we need a venue in the NW of England.

(I haven't forgotten - Scrumpy is invited!)

The venue must be easy to find, have car parking, flat field, indoor accommodation in cas eof rain, kitchen, toilets etc.

Our first fun day was Irish Breeds, the next was Terriers....

This time we may well have a special award - a ginger fruitcake for the nuttiest ginger dog! :luck:

Scrumpy says thanks for the invitation :) Although I have to say she's looking less like an Irish as she gets older. She's 18 months now & about 21" & 11kg. D  don't know how that rates against the I.T.breed standard but nearly everyone who sees her now reckons she is Whippy X Beddy.

Let us know where your fun day is cos we'd still like to come along if poss as she's definately a nutty ginger dog :teehee:

Of course she is still welcome! The breed standard for ITs is 18" at shoulder for bitches and 19" for dogs - although many are bigger (mine is about 20") and the weight on the standard is 25lbs - although again, many are heavier. Whatever she is - she is lovely! To see pictures of an IT - have a look at the Terrier Talk website & visit the breed profile. There is a bedlington x greyhound on the SARDALakes website who is a fully graded search & rescue dog too (I know him well & he is a little star!)

I think the competition for the nuttiest ginger dog will be fierce!!!
