Very Pleased To Hear This

Bloody right and so he should be....I think they should lock him in a car in and then park it in oven!

I have just read about this on Sky news as well. Let's hope as Alison said he gets the Maximum sentence.

I also read on the Sky news website about a poor little puppy (Staffy x Border collie) that has had it's ears and tail cut off with a pair of scissors :( What a poor little mite, it would have been totally excrutiating. What horrible, evil people there are in this world

We all make mistakes ;)
Its not a mistake that an intelligent person should make though is it? leaving a dogs to cook in the car whilst you chat to your mates or whatever, not a mistake, irresponsible and he deserves to be punished!

Not too sure of the details on this but were these dogs in the car on a public highway ,if so we are all to blame . If they were locked in the police yard ,that would make my respect for em (the police ) even more questionable .

OMG sorry just bothered to click the link and wish I never . What is going on eh?

i know my mistake. its what i want to be when im older. so i guess its his responsibility, and the dog had unnecessary suffering. but i always thought that in all police k9 transport they had air conditioning and fans for the dog i was just wondering why it didnt have any in?.

I understand that the officer was off duty and the dogs were in his own private car :(

This is the update to day on this awful story :( He should have been dragged to the court

A POLICE dog handler accused of leaving two of his German Shepherds to bake to death in his car was too ill to attend his first court hearing today.

PC Mark Johnson faces one charge of causing unnecessary suffering to the animals after he allegedly left the police dogs to die in the back of his car.

The 40-year-old did not attend today's ten-minute hearing at Nottingham Magistrates' Court but was represented by his solicitor and a member of the Police Federation.

PC Johnson is accused of leaving his dogs, Jet, ten, and 18-month-old Jay-Jay, to die after he popped in to Nottinghamshire Police's HQ in Arnold.

The prosecution is being brought by the RSPCA, which accuses Johnson of "unnecessarily confining them in an environment that was detrimental to their well-being".

The deaths happened on June 30, one of the hottest days of the year, when temperatures reached 29.3C (84.7F).
