Hi guys,
Been a while since I posted anything about Logan.
Logan developed an intestinal issue at the beginning of September and we duly took him to his vets for help/advice and the gave us some Proplus paste to treat the diarrhoea and we thanked them and paid the £120 bill (Logans insurance has a £100 excess) thinking problem solved, no need to involve the insurance. Unfortunately, things didn't improve so back to the vets for some antibiotics and more Proplus (£120) and put Logan on chicken and rice for the 10 day course of antibiotics. After the antibiotics Logan still wasn't improving and was beginning to loose weight so back to the vets and they asked for 3 different samples of Logan's faeces which I collected and returned to the vet for analysis. We then received a bill for £270 so thought it was time to involve his insurance as this was getting expensive. The analysis came back inconclusive so they asked if Logan could spend the day at the vets so they could scan him and run some blood tests. Logan developed a rash where they had to shave him for these blood tests and we was charged £50 for the examination and cortisone cream for something they had caused. Nothing was found on the scan or in the blood tests but the bill for this was nearly £700. Our vets scratched their heads and basically said they couldnt find what was wrong but offered us some specialist dry dog food that must have been gold plated at £30 for 2.5kg. That lasted Logan just under a week and as food insn't covered by his insurance we paid for that. So, after charging us/insurance over £1200 just to be told Logan has a sensitive stomach I thought was the treatment and cost excessive? This little episode has bumped Logan's insurance premiums up by an extra £6 per month.
Sorry its such a long rant, I would do anything to make sure Logan is fit and healthy but felt our vets changed once they knew Logan was insured.

Logan is now fit and healthy, we sourced some hypoallergenic dry dog food online and he is back to his Tiiger'ish self.
