Welcome to our April Competition, The Whippet Forum Virtual Dog Show.

The show will be running for two months, and initial entries need to be in by the 22nd of April, as there will be a few rounds of judging.

All members are welcome to enter as many of their dogs as they like, and each dog can be entered into a maximum of two classes.

The classes are as follows;

BREED CLASSES

WHIPPET

1. Puppy Dog (6-12 months)

2. Puppy Bitch (6-12 months)

3. Junior Dog (12 - 24 months)

4. Junior Bitch (12 - 24 months

5. Open Dog (2 - 7 years)

6. Open Bitch (2 - 7 years)

7. Veteren Dog (7 years and over)

8. Veteran Bitch (7 years and over)

ITALIAN GREYHOUND

9. Junior (6 - 18 months)

10. Adult (12 months - 7 years)

11. Veteran (7 years and over)

LURCHER - SMOOTH COATED

12. Junior (6 - 18 months)

13. Adult (12 months - 7 years)

14. Veteran (7 years and over)

LURCHER - ROUGH COATED

15. Junior (6 - 18 months)

16. Adult (12 months - 7 years)

17. Veteran (7 years and over)

GREYHOUND

18. Junior (6 - 18 months)

19. Adult (12 months - 7 years)

20. Veteran (7 years and over)

WORKING CLASSES

WORKING – Must have caught live game

21. Adult (12 months - 7 years)

22. Veteran (7 years and over)

RACING – Registered Racing name must be given

23. Adult (12 months - 7 years)

24. Veteran (7 years and over)

LURE COURSING – Must have completed at least two courses

25. Adult (12 months - 7 years)

26. Veteran (7 years and over)

PUPPY WALK - Pups 12 weeks to 6 months

27. All Breeds

Please send an email to virtualdogshow@hotmail.co.uk detailing the number of the class/classes you wish to enter, and give a brief description of each entry i.e

Your Whippet Forum Username

Dog's Name

Dog's Sex

Dog's Age

Ped/Non Ped Racing Name (if applicable)

Lure Coursing Club (if applicable)

Please supply two photographs. One picture must show a side profile of the dog standing, and one must be a front shot/head shot.

Photographs must show dog at age relative to class entered.

All classes will be judged by poll, and the class winners will all then go through to the next round to compete for Best of Breed. These five Best of Breed Winners will then compete for Best in Group. The winner of this round will challenge for Best In Show.

All Working / Racing / Lure Coursing Class Winners will compete for Best of Discipline, and these winners will then compete for Best Working Dog who will enter the Best in Show Challenge.

The Puppy Walk is for all breeds, pups must be between 12 weeks and 6 months. Rosettes will be awarded to 5th Place. Winner of this class will challenge for Best Puppy in Show, but will not be eligible for Best in Show Challenge.

There will be an additional round of judging for Best Puppy In Show (under 12 months)

Rosettes will be awarded to all class winners, and Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show and Best Puppy in Show.

Alpha Feeds have kindly sponsored additional prizes for Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show Winners.

Remember Class Entries must be in by the 22nd April for the first round of judging to begin.

The rosettes are here (w00t)

I'm really pleased to announce that they have arrived in time :sweating: I think they're lovely, and very nice quality. :thumbsup:

I wanted to get 1st place for all the classes, and then some specials for the Best of Breed, Best Working Dog, Best Racing Dog etc. Then we have the Group Winner, Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show, Best Puppy in Show etc etc. the list went on and on. Because the exhibits in the Puppy Walk couldn't compete for Best in Show, we got 1st to 5th for this class, but only this one.

So it gives me great pleasure to let you all know that a wonderful person has come forward and asked to donate the funds to have 1st to 5th in ALL the classes. Although this member wishes to remain anonymous, I'd like to publicly thank them on behalf of all the competitors, and The Whippet Forum. It is a lovely gesture, and will make being placed all the more special. So Thank You very much on behalf of us all.

I'll put the pictures on so you can see them, although there are quite a few!

All the BOB winners compete for this lovely Best in Group

The puppies get to battle it out for these two lovely ones

These huge ones will be presented to our Best in Show and reserve Best in Show Winners

I can't post pictures of the 2nd to 5ths yet as they were ordered later, but I am sure they will be just as wonderful
