Got in from work yesterday and took one look at Murphy and phoned the vet straight away. His nose was twice the size as normal, poor dog looked like scooby do. the vet thinks he has been stung or bitten. She give him a couple of injections and said to give it 24 hours. The swelling has gone down this morning but Murphy very down and not himself at all.

pic taken last night.

Poor Murphy hope he's soon feeling more like his normal self :(

poor murphy,he will be fine sharon.should of been called bailey with a nose that big

Hope he is ok soon Sharon, Sons lurcher came out like that but with swollen eyes too. Turned out it was allergy to some kind of plant

Ahh poor boy!! Hopefully it will go down soon and he will feel a bit better.

Dolly gets stung by bees every year, she loves playing with them

I now give her 1/2 to 1 piriton tablet when she does it and it brings the swelling down.

 Poor Murphy, just a sting i think and if the swelling has gone down i don't think you have anything to worry about, (dogs can be so stupid at times,) Di

i think all mine have done this as pups its right of passage here there first summer they have at least one bee sting as i have lots of flowering bushes in the back garden. only ever had Ninny do it twice though. keep some antihistamines in and as long as there now swelling near there airways there always fine in a day or so.

hope hes feeling better soon its scary when they first do it though I remember panicking and going to the emergency vet who said he was on his 5th that's day

Ah bless him, hope Murphy feels a bit better soon
