Big crongratulations to Audrey ( Johnson ) with RUDI VALENTINO on gaining his Rch title.

Audrey has been in whippet racing for over 40yrs and this is her first Rch.

Audrey was in shock when he crossed the line and it took quite a while for it to sink in.

many many crongratulations.

best wishes

Doreen

Well done Audrey and little Rudi...you have had many problems with him.

He was very thin and had a lot of dentistry when you got him, which then helped him eat a lot better, but he has always suffered with colic and has never been able to hold a steady weight at all, despite trying...

Then losing a lot of weight after the 6 hour journey and awful cold weather over the weekend.

He wasn't even supposed to race Sunday, Audrey wanted him for the veterans.

This was his first and only 'adult open race' with a handful of 'veteran races'....

He did very well under the circumstances....he turned 6 years old in June,

he went out in style and made one lady who has waited over 40 years 'Dream Come True' xxxxx

I was thrilled for Audrey and little Rudi. I think she must have floated back home last night on cloud number nine :D

Congratulations from me to too.I know the journey, must have taken it's toll, she seemed very tired when she arrived, but know Rudi running like he did, must have made it all worth while.Chuffed to bits for you Audrey

  1. well done audrey we are so pleased for you .......neil irene xx

Thank you for all your kind wishes, cards and flowers on my Rudi Valentino becoming a racing champion. I could not believe it after the last 6 years trying with Ballyboy to get the title that always excaped him and on and off with various dogs over the past 40 years. For many of those years I ran only at club level because personal commitments made it impossible for me to travel.

I have not come down to earth yet and even if I cannot travel far in the future my heart will be with my dozens of racing friends
