Vicky, who is on this board, ( look under moderators for non-peds) does very nice coats. :luck:  You could pm her for details.

My coats are from Jans Greyhound Gifts (google it)

To be honest though, there's no way i'd put a coat on them when its warm, it seems completely unnecessary. Frankie hasn't had one on since start of April and Holly has never had one on. At the moment they're hot enough with their own fur coat, never mind an extra one!

I also get my whippet coats from Jansgreyhound Gifts. I purchase the wax waterproof coat and these have been excellent quality and reasonably priced. I have also got fleece coats as well which have been just as good.

The site is easily found via google.

I get Zeb from Yvonne, they are good coats if you sent her a message then she well let you know. The hi vis is good, she does do fleece coats and also sleepers.

send her a message.

a coat in this weather geeezzzzzzzzzzzzzz even id look stupid with a coat on in this hottttttttttttttt weather

Hi Maz, I got a red one just like the olive green one, it's very good quality, nice thick fleece inside for the winter, but not completely waterproof, the only thing that would stop me getting same again is the way the velcro belt is underneath the coat, it always pops open.

Next time I'll get the high vis bright yellow one, that's got the belt on the outside

:luck:

i had the same problem, but when i told her she sent me a belt to attach on it. I could of sent it back to her for her to put on.

Thay are good, talk to her and tell her your needs.

Shes made Zeb about 4 coat now.

We always use Venture Coats, but not in this weather. They don't seem to mind getting wet IF they're on an official walk (potty breaks don't count). Though I think Nick did pop Chelsea's on her the other day as it was BUCKETING down when he took her out.

We use Venture Coats as well, but not in the summer even if its raining as they overheat still.

it does rain in summer, that why i am looking for a coat, but still need 1 for winter,

Jan's Gifts does straight rain coats - no fleecy bits etc which are great for when it's wet but too hot for a 'proper' coat.

my whippet x hates the rain............. so wot i want a hard dog not a puff that runs whens he scared of getting wet.. in the winter well thats a tad different..

Try Vicky form this board. You can get a fleece (kennel coat I think they are called), and a very thin waterproof rain coat that can be worn alone or together.

I've put just the 'raincoats' on my lot when it has been throwing it down and wanted to keep them dry, but no need to keep them warm.

I think Vicky has some piccies on her webpage so you can see what I'm talking about. Would definately recommend them.

Our dog coatscome directly from the parents .

They are warm, flexible, waterproof and easy to clean

OK I know a lot of people use coats and there are times I WOULD agree with their useage to some degree but not the amount that they are used by some. Definitley NOT at this time of year (unless really siling (?sp) it down) ) and rarely at other times - exceptionally a reflective coat in summer may be very useful (ask chelynnah)

Dawn AKA Mrs GRUMPY when talking coats for whippets

(apologies to the real Mr GRUMPY :D )
