Hello there,

some weeks ago when I discovered an unused (!) dog poop disposal bag from Porto (Portugal) in my pocket I decided to start a collection of these items...

So if your community provides these bags for free I would be happy if you could send me an example. Perhaps we could get an entry at the Guinness Book of Records ;-)

If you want to take a look at the collection, click here http://www.lurca.de/de/news/kackitueten.html

Best wishes,

Barbara & the boys

A very strange choice of collectables but whatever floats your boat, and they are quite funky i suppose better than collecting stamps or train watching!but where do you display them? or is it just general interest? we have poo bags in our village but there just the normal english design on them that you see everywhere. :)

@John: Unfilled, of course (w00t)

It was just a crazy idea I had and I just want to see how far I will get with this. And imagine what a fine tool this will be when looking for a new husband: "Can I show you my poo bag collection?" is surely much more tempting than a stamp collection - and it separates the right men from the wrong prospects very quickly

So, I would be interested in an example of the "normal english design", as I don´t have one of those yet.

Regards,

Barbara & the boys

Where do you want it sent to? PM me with your address and I'l send you one of our Ashford council ones - a nice bright yellow!! Janet

the free bags i get are very boring and plain black, dont think its quite up to scratch for your collection :)

I didn't realise you could get special council ones - we buy scented nappy bags - something like 29p for a pack of 100 :D

 i cant say i have seen my local council poop bags either, i just use boring black bob martin poop bags :- "

My local council (Stockport) give FREE poo bags out at the tourist info office. I only discovered this about a month ago but have been in a couple of times & got 2 packets of 50 bags. As I've got 3 dogs these will last a few weeks or 100 poos, whichever is soonest (w00t)

They are very boring plain black bags tho so won't be an asset to your collection.

We issue nice purple ones. For free bags contact your Environmental services dept at the council.

Ashford council bags (the yellow ones) are given out free to all dog clubs and also available from the local post offices and the dog warden will drop off a supply if we ring the council.

I pick mine up from the post office (in packs of 50) but used to get them at dog training classes, where the warden often popped in and gave a talk about responsible dog ownership to new owners. A very good service from a council I thought.

PS Barbara, glad you liked the card. I enjoy making cards as a hobby now I'm almost housebound. Always looking for whippet or dog themed things to use!
