I'm looking for a loving home for my 6 yrs old greyhound bitch, I would have her spayed at no cost for her new owners, and I'm willing to travel 100 mile radius of Chesterfield to deliver her to her new home.

Anyone interested please pm me for further details.

Geoff

We have dogs coming out of our ears or i'd have snapped her up - her babies (i presume i'm on the same greyhound bitch) are already proving what a great brood bitch she is.

Thanks Amanda  Much appreciated.

I know of a lady wanting a greyhound, lives a few doors down from me in Wakefield. I will ask her when I next see her but I think she said she already had a dog 'in the pipeline'. She already has one female failed racer.

She's beautiful, I would have her if I could afford it

Awwwwwwwwwww what a beautiful looking girl  ................. I am sure she will soon be snapped up by people wanting to offer her a permanent, forever, loving home.

What's the reason for her having to be rehomed ??? :)

[i do not normally post on this site but am an avid reader.

I now have only 2 lurchers having lost my old boy recently. They have all been rescue dogs with their problems. The old boy was the worst and we stood by him through some some very difficult times--12 years of it.But we loved him despite this and still miss him.

My point is--how can you let your dog go? What happened to a "dog is for life?"

Perhaps there are extenuating circumstances but I'm not impressed with the very flippant remark given as a reason. She is a lovely looking dog and is obviously happy in her present environment. Is there really a need to upset her whole world to suit yours? Are you replacing her for a newer model?

I do not wish to be offensive but cannot comprehend how you can let a dog go that you have (I presume} cared for, trained, etc etc for 6 whole long years.

You seem to do alot of presuming, if you don't know my circumstances I would be very grateful if you would very kindly mind your own business.

ps I was very dubious about putting my topic on here, and if I get anymore dick-heads giving smart replies I will have this topic removed.

Won't say on here, but will be down your neck of the woods tomorrow, and could tell you face to face

Oh my, she is just beautiful   I would have her in a minute but don't think i've got enough room... at the moment anyway. What is she like with little ones, cats and off the lead?

I'm sorry my topic is doing your head in peony, Maggie as no idiosyncrasies

Speaking of foibles, hasn't it ever crossed your mind about rehoming a dog?

ps. Jayne sends her love (nettle) she's the one you was pm ing last year (w00t) :b

Never mind me and my head Milly ;) I am totally in charge of all my faculties thanks. As for the discussions I had last year with Nettle, I remember them well, as I read through them only last week. Isnt the pm system a wonderful thing ? :- "

Seems we both said a lot about animal husbandry in different countries. :- "

Crossed my mind about rehoming a dog ???? Hell yes, as everyone knows. (w00t)

At the time I was contending with a dog who disrupted my live to such an extent, I almost had to move house. I was very concerned that my regimes were not in the animals best interest and therefore wanted to provide him with a situation where he might benefit. Fortunately, I stuck with it, battled through all of the problems and today, have a well adjusted dog, who is a delight to own. Maybe you should do the same with Maggie ????

PS Say hello to Jayne for me ;) ;) ;)

What is your problem peony? I don't see you disrupting other topic's when someone is wanting to rehome a greyhound, have I upset one of your friends :- "

Oh Milly

Where have I disrupted this topic???? If you read back, my first post merely asked the reason for the rehoming .....................and do you know why I asked this ????? Well ?????

I have friends in Leek, who have, in the last fortnight, had to have their beloved greyhound put to sleep . They are distraught, their lives are empty and although they are still very much in the mourning process, ultimately they want to give another greyhound a chance. Purely beacuse of geography and the fact that you have a greyhound which you are looking to rehome, I asked a simple question.

Is that disruptive ???? Rather than you give me a valid reason for the rehoming, you made some flippant remark regarding bitten cameras, which is what led me to continuing communications with you.

I havent replied to any other threads offering greyhounds, simply because I havent known anyone looking to rehome a greyhound before. Do I apologise to you for their loss and my trying to help them and potentially you out ???? :- "

As for suggestions that I may be writing on anothers behalf , get a grip and wind your neck in. I am an adult with my own mind and a genuine reason for posting my original question.

I hope that you find Maggie a lovely home where she can spend the rest of her days, as loved and cherished as she would have been, with my friends in Leek. ;)
