Ive been looking for one too. Fortuantly sombody has kindly offered to lend me theirs, I would try and visit a boat scrap yard as they use similar hand machines to reel in exess rope. Have you considered an electrical one? You could also pick up an old motor from a scrapyard (apparently ford starter motors are the best)
