my 2 labs ate slug pellets, one sadly died and the other spent nearly a week in a coma she recovered fully but then 6months later went blind as it attacks the central nervous system she was only a yr old when it happened.

its the chemical metaldehyde, most slug pellets only contain a small percentage but it only takes 3 grams to kill a 5yr old child.

Please dont use slug pellets, its not only the 1st degree poisoning but the 2nd and 3rd, if a bird eats a poisoned slug then a cat eats that bird it can still have disaterous effects on the cat x x x

thanks for the reminder debs last year 3 dogs from the same family died not far from us i tend to stay well clear of the fields at this time of the year its just too risky :thumbsup:

I lost my first whippet after she ate slug pellets . . . not a nice way to go.
