Absolutely fabulous photograph.

What do you mean Mark that you need a banner I would have thought that a tee shirt would have been big enough. (w00t)

No seriously a banner would be a good idea. I wonder if there will be a next year though. Anyway maybe we could have a whip around to help with the cost.

the k9 banner is not a bad idea.

apparently tony was seen at the waterloo cup on the evening news.....hope non of his patients recognised him, they were all told he was on a "course" (not the hare coursing variety  )

technically it was'nt a lie.....his patients was'nt told what sort of course he was on

The Antis always have a banner these days on day1 and the Countryside Alliance in my opinion should have 1 up but as they have little or no interest in coursing or so it would seem) then I think the likely hood of the doing a banner to counteract the Antis one is a non starter.

I think anyone able to (groups/clubs,k9ers ect) should get banners up at 11am on the 1st day? can you emagine the sight and the press coverage?

BJ, there 2 of us camping have you anything we could use as a hammock

Hi Mark,

I think a banner in support of coursing would be a great idea, but do you think you may need permission from the organisers? I know they (the antis) don't, but there's a lot of things they don't do or have! Be glad to chip in if it was a 'goer'.

Sorry, I don't have Floyd Amphlett's (Editor G Star) e-mail address, but bolstered by your support, I think I will post him a few polite, but necessary lines. I actually know him quite well, or at least I used to work with him a long time ago and as far as I can remember he's not much of a coursing person. However his personal views shouldn't really affect of his journalistic integrity, or at least I wouldn't have thought so anyway. Watch this space.

If I come across an e-address I'll post it.

Not logging in again for a while, major deadlines to meet and as I much prefer getting carried away on here, best avoiding the temptation to do so.

Catch up when I'm back in front!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All

Pals Gold the runner up for the cup was sold to some friends of mine. He was sold by Michael O'Donovan the winning trainer. If he had been a non chaser they wouldn't have bought him!

I saw his gold trophy yesterday, very impressive. He looked very well and was raring to go again!

Pals Gold and Paddy's Toy (with the same trainer) the winner of the plate will feature in an advert in the Greyhound Star.

Dragon Fly (the dog Clarissa part owns) went unsighted in her first course and on her way back up the field ran under the judges horse. The horse reared, and hit the judge in the face, and at lunchtime he was replaced by a reserve judge.

It was my first Waterloo Cup, and it was quite an experience. :luck:
