Just in case some of you like myself hadn't realised that the closing date for items to be discussed at the next Talk-In is the 30th September I thought that I'd post on here about it. Remember this year there wasn't a Talk-In due to there being nothing to be discussed so if we racers want there to be a Talk-In then we have to put forward items for discussion.

At the Whippet Club AGM there was debate about the club representatives' meeting ("Talk-in"), against the background of an absence of items for discussion offered by the Clubs last year. As a result we've made two changes to the way the agenda is built up.
1 . As the Agenda builds, it's our attention to put it on display at Open/Championship race meetings. This should give everyone the chance to see how the Agenda is doing (and hopefully will also prompt people to put pen to paper).
2 . We're asking for each item to be accompanied by a short explanatory note (one paragraph only!) to say what it's all about. The attention is to make sure club delegates are better prepared for each item. For instance, it'll give club reps. a decent chance to canvas opinion among their members, that way we should get a more informed debate.
The main principle stays the same, i.e. if you have an item you want discussed, you'll need to put it to your local Club Sec. who'll forward it to Kim Saxby for inclusion in the Agenda. Items need to be with Kim by 30 September so we can display a final list at the 4th.Champs.

I hope that I haven't broken any rules by copying it on here.
