It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that we have had to say goodbye to our beloved little Ember.,aged 15 1/2. After coping, with her usual efficiency with increasing kidney failure for 8 months, with hardly any change of spirit or attitude. Only on Saturday she chased a neighbour's cat and up until last week was still eager for walks and keeping up with the others, running and playing.Yesterday though, her condition deteriorated rapidly and she lapsed into semi-consciousness. Her favourite vet was with us in 5 minutes and with his help she passed on very peacefully in her bed by the fire in my arms. She will be SO missed and mourned by all her family, while remembering all the fun we had together and celebrating a long happy life of a wonderful little dog, my best friend. With our love,little one, Gill and Sam, her niece Guinea and much loved "child" Zephyr. Go with love my beautiful girl.

Goodbye little Ember. She was such a special liitle girl Gilly and you will miss her terribly. She was always the one to beat when we were first running Bubble and Squeak, and when I first met you Gilly in the weighing in queue at a Gloucester open. I don't think Squeaks ever did beat Ember, there weren't many that could. She gave you some brilliant times, and we and many others will remember her as the gutsy, speedy little dog she was. So very sorry to hear this Gill. The last time we saw Ember was last month at the Old Hall Open. She looked such a happy girl tucked up in her little dog bed, and later on having a wander round and saying 'hello' to everyone.

We know how special she was to you, - and I'm sure she knew it too. Our love and thoughts are with you.

Oh Gill, I'm so sorry to hear this. I know you knew the time was coming but it makes it no less a shock. She was such a dear little thing and the light of your life. I will always remember when she became a champion and you were watching through your fingers but she did you proud that day and on many others.

Dearest Gill we are so sorry to hear of Ember's passing. Only yesterday you were telling me about the cat chasing event. It showed her spirit, to the end. She had a wonderful life with you and Sam. Who knows, perhaps she'll meet up with her old boyfriend Jazz, they could chase cats to their hearts content.
