so what’s your favourite food/ dinner? Years ago mine was good old fish n chips with mushy peas, nowadays I don’t touch trash food, I’m a bit bland on my food nowadays to keep the weight to my liking but it’s a roast dinner with all the trimmings twice a month.

Beef stroganoff. And (a nice story) we used to go out to supper on a Friday, they usually had it on the menu but one week they didn't. I said that was a pity, 'no problem' they said, 'we have the ingredients' and made it for me anyway. Now that's service.

Mexican - home cooked refried beans, tortillas, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, chillis...

I love all different kinds of food but the one that makes me go ... yes ... Egg chips and beans. Don't ask me why,probably something to do with my childhood. But they've got to be homemade chips.

At the moment it would either be a nice Sunday roast or a Thai Red Curry.

Whatever I'm eating at the time!

As long as it's good quality fresh food with plenty of meat or fish and vegetables, it'll suit me.

If someone would make it for me, cause I cant be bothered, a good full proper cooked breakfast. Though even when I'm away I find hotel breakfasts though acceptable do not come up to a proper home cooked one.

Love a veggie fry up, veg sos and veg bacon, fried slice, fried mushrooms, fried tomatoes and beans! Or pie, mash and a big pile of vegetables and gravy but then also I love a good stir fry or a nice hot veg chilli... I suppose I just love food really can't pick a favourite!!

@Flobo, I have yet to find a veggie sausage that I actually enjoy! I'm not keen on any meat 'substitutes' such as soya or Quorn. Apart from Quorn ham, which is lovely in a sandwich with mustard and tomato. But then again, when I ate meat I didn't like real ham!

OH will be having fish, chips and peas out the freezer this evening. I do have some veggie 'goujons' which aren't that bad for a meat substitute, but I also have half a leftover avocado so I'll be having chips, avocado and peas.

Oh.....'favourite food'....that is hard to narrow down.
One dish that pop's into my mind is spinach soup. We had it in our school dinner list and it was every kids nightmare day when it was served...YUCK YUCK YOUK! Fast forward 10 years from that and I could not get enough of it. How things change with the age...
My favourite food changes through the seasons really....and what ever tickles my taste buds I keep making and eating again and again until I've had enough and ready to move on to something else again.
I better get exited with peppers....bucket full of them ready and freshly picked from the greenhouse.. 'oh dear'..

@JudyN You are right about a good veggie sos, I have tried many that sounded promising but were sadly disappointing... I stick to Linda Macs traditional ones now generally.. though Sainsburys used to do a good Cumberland one, that was wierdly kinda juicy like a meat one which I liked but they don't do them anymore in their new 'improved' range!..I like the vegan quorn ham too, last sunday I did a layered pastry parcel which was made up of a thick slice of fried tofu, drizzled in shoyu and then smeared with mustard, a couple of slices of tomato and a slice of vegan chedder, then wrapped that in the'ham', then tucked it all up in puff pastry!!yum...

Just had a jacket spud, a wee bit of veggie rice , peppers n peas, that’s me so now it’s time to celebrate my birthday weekend woooo hoooo got a choice of 5 whiskies , Start with a blend leading too some single malts woooo hooo

Happy birthday @lurcherman! We've been celebrating my youger son's should-have-been wedding day in the garden with him and his fiance, and her parents. All socially distanced, of course The good thing about lockdown - evreyone brought their own food and I didn't need to clean the house
