Well done EVERYONE on getting your half coats or full coats, hopefully we can get to the next one and see the half coats get there full ones. Anyone got the full finals results please.

I don't know about the rest of you but I didn't think that Garry looked that pleased and happy about how well his boys ran. :p

Then just to cap things off Ross was fastest time of the day as well, he looked really the biz storming down the back straight in the final. Just a magic day Garry just so chuffed for you. Your boys ran so well for you and Ray.

Steve and Betty's Jonty (Half a Spot) ran so well all day didn't put a paw wrong in any of his races a very, very well deserved win. I was also very pleased to see Jazz (Making Music) get his half coat another well deserved win and some close battles in his group.

Congrats to all the winners and finalists. The track was perfect and hats off to the WCRA for organising a great days racing.

Help please for a poor showey trying to follow racing but how do you get a half coat or a full coat, I'm thinking that must count towards becoming a Champion but how does it work please.

Jenny

we have 4 championships a year, 2 bend champs, 2 straight champs if you win 1 champs that makes you a half coat  then you need to win a 2nd champs to become a champion, you can win on the bend or straight it doesnt matter and at anytime in their racing life (you dont have to win both in a year) although thats very good if you do

hope im making sense  if i am then there is a first time for everything (w00t)

Jenny, just to add - if you win a second Champs and become a Champion it is regarded as getting a full coat  and whereas Julie/Sue says it can be anytime in their life - it can be, but normally from 6 years old they go into veteran groups at the Championships, where there are only 2 meetings a year to compete in - therefore you only have to win one to become a VC (Veteran Crown)

Fancy a go? You're always welcome to another meet at Gloucester - maybe come up for the day when we're holding our open - it's a brilliant day

Man....what can I say........I love those dogs to bits......thank you all for your kind words cards and phone calls........... Im still lost for words it was for me a day far beyond my wildest dreams....I woke up monday in my camper and layed there for over an hour, thinking was that all a dream and is the racing really today, then I saw Quinns velvet jacket and I knew it was all true.

Thank- you to all the people who had there fingers cross for my boys (you know who you are). ;)

I always wanted a velvet jacket which is why Vanessa allowed me to get Quinn (I found out later) she hoped he could get one for me, but we never hoped for one with champion on it.

I hope now Terraquinn gets his name spelt right after what the little dog has done for me

Sorry if I didnt thank people properly when they congratulated me (I hope I wasnt too ungracious) but I didnt know which way was up (still dont) :teehee:

Special congrats to Viv, Steve & Betty and a special thank you to Ray Pond the boys couldnt have done it without you
