And the fact you say they race at somewhere that has a sub forum on K9 means trouble could be caused.

P.s we only came across this site by doing a search on the track where he mentioned he races....it's in the North West. will not name and shame yet as we are trying to get enough evedence to get him done and hopefully banned from keeping dogs

cant see him using them for racing at the mo, cos surely someone at the track wouldve picked up on their condition having been locked up 20hrs a day

anyway good luck

keith

We thought that too....surely they won't be able to race if they are not getting out...last time we were talking to him (a couple of months ago) he said that greyhound inspectors were coming round to inspect his kennels...does this happen?? it's probably the last time he cleaned up aswell!!

Don't know anything about racing - so can't comment on that.

However - those conditions look absolutely disgusting to me and i wouldn't keep a flea in there, never mind a dog.

I'd report them to RSPCA. Also to local council if the area stinks (which im sure it must do in that state). Councils are quite hot on anti-social behaviour caused by dogs.

No living thing should live in such conditions. Poor dogs.

You can report to the council or RSPCA without becoming involved

Please report these conditions NOW or pm me the details & i will do it

Infact, please could you pm me whereabouts in the country you are ;)

Hi and welcome!

I would doubt very much if the dogs are raced...racing dogs are like Thoroughbreds and need to be in optimum condition and fitness which there is no way that these dogs can be with only getting a small amount of yard exercise.Racing dogs also do "miles" of roadwork for muscle development. That aside those conditions are apalling and in my opinion need reporting NOW!!!

agree with everything that been said. ring up the local councils enviromental health department and make an anonymous complaint

go to your local councils enviromental health dept or phone them and make a complaint.if they dont investigate you can report them to the ombudsmans office as they are guilty of failing to investigate a complaint.threaten them with this or go to your local councillor or m.p. and tell them about it.

If you do not want to get involved just print out these photos and send them to both your council and RSPCA together with the people's address and short note.

That makes him a NGRC reg trainer if he is having inspections.

Report him to them

That is disgusting... I know many trainers of racing greyhounds & have never seen anything like that.  Its people like him that gives us greyhound people bad names, i would report him, no animal of any kind should live in those conditions

I have just seen this on another thread on the general discussion board........ Report him & do the poor dogs a favour as no animal should be living in that state

If you are able to get photos of the dogs in there it might build a stronger case as well; but don't put yourself at risk in order to do so.

Good luck.

:luck:

Thats disgusting, i would def report them, no animal should have to live like that

If you are worried about reporting this please send me details ASAP. its alive with maggots, no drinking water, food or bedding and looks soaked in urine. Action needs taking now and fast.

I agree - have known racing people and none of them have kept their dogs like that! outside, yes - in squalor, NO

Disgusting conditions. No dog should have to live in filth like that

If by any chance they really are earmarked racing greyhounds I think you should send those pictures to the NGRC. They really should be concerned about racing dogs being kept in those conditions (though I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a response :( ).

have you got a video camera too??? would be good if you could send a video of the dogs in there with the time and date clearly visible? also camera fones can do this too , so get as much day to day evidence and with the vidoe you will have the noise aspect as well , sorry but you will have to pester people to get things done :luck:

Have merged the topic from General Discussion with this one so they're both in one place.
