Thunder was out in the yard while the girls wouldnt be bothered by his antics -

they were all inside keeping warm -

it was just after dawn so the light was still dim - cold outside (mid 20's) and

we have had rain and snow for the past coupla days so everything was frozen

out there and what was damp was frozen - I watched him do his usual mad

dashes around the fence to see if something would run so he could raise some

cain and then just ignored him for awhile to run down - walked by the window

and he was just running hell bent around and around with what I thought was

a log about 4 ft long - I dashed outside to take it away from him to keep him

from catching it between two trees and injuring himself - when I got closer

I realized that his cotton rope yard toy had been outside overnight and had

apparently laid streight and froze solid - he thought a 4 ft long icey rope was

the coolest toy in the world -

Thunder just doesnt have the brightest light bulb around -

simple things give him great pleasure like most pups -

If he never "matures" it will be alright with me -

dont think I have ever heard of a snake in freezing weather or snow -

right now all the snakes are hidden away in their dens under the rocks

or under the barn - they wont start coming out until sometime late

april or so - after the last frost -
