Do you buy a special chistmas present for your dog? :- "

Do you wrap it?

My OH says I am mad because I always buy each dog a pressy at christmas and wrap it!

They love unwrapping them christmas day, and eating the contents... It is normally something to eat. (w00t) (w00t)

I find the toys in those christmas stockings especially, made for dogs are rubbish  and are normally destroyed within 10 minutes of being played with.... and when you have more than one whippy it is also costly....

But it's fun watching them ripping off the wrapping on christmas morning... All my kids are grown-up!!! could you tell? :b

Yes bought them both a new toy with a squeaker inside - all wrapped up with some pigs ears so far. and a new bed which I hope comes before Christmas so I can pile their presents inside it - so the kids dont get mixed up.

My lurcher pup is having a load of new cuddly sweaky toys which are made by Kong so should last longer than some other brands, a James Wellbeloved Xmas stocking and a plush bone that plays Xmas music!! Pedro our pointer X is also having a couple of plush toys (he may be 12 but still loves to play with toys!) and he will also get some pizzle sticks! My mum has also brought them a stocking each (!) they are quite good ones as they only ocntain items such as pigs ears etc - no toys which break in 2 seconds flat!

Yep the gang have got their christmas toys in the cupboard bought at LKA like every year

Yes ours too have pressies!, each have a sack! :- " , some will open their own and those who cant, will be helped by our Collie x Becky, she loves unwrapping anyones pressy's!!!! She has lready found the sacks and likes to have a little check on them every now and again!!!!

Of course! :) they all get a soft toy with a squeaker, which they love to unwrap themselves :D rawhide bones, pigs ears & varoius treats!

Mine are getting lovely squeaky soft toys from the USA plus some edibles. I do hope they don't get on the PC later and read this thread or they'll know what they are getting (w00t)

:b Ella's got her new christmas pj's on now, she's got a huge pack of chew sticks, a cuddly reindeer toy (luckily she doesn't unstuff them), she's already had her 'wang-a-ball' a great curved stick that throws a tennis ball miles, and ....wait for it...she's got a silver and diamonte letter 'E' to hang on her posh collar, Have to say my little girl bought her that :- "

If you'd have told me this time last year I'd have a dog and be writing all this, I'd have had you certified, now I believe it's me who needs to be put away (w00t)

All ours get something to open but the whippets get proper 'big' pressies.

Diamond is getting a new collar but Santa cant get it here til after christmas :- " , Genie has had a new personalised coat with a matching lead, Rebel is getting a new coat as well, Skippy and Nutter have matching coats and the other three will all get choccys :p

They all get a christmas dinner as well, not sure what size Turkey to get.......8 dogs, 2 kids and 2 adults....id say about a 20lb'er!!

Edited to say ive been buying toys as well since September

Blaze says she hopes she gets LOTS & LOTS & LOTS & LOTS of Squeaky Toys !!!

(Let's see what Santa Paws brings you Baby Mo)

P.S The pups say they are staying up to see if they can spot Santa's Little Helper !!!

Beau's is bought and wrapped. Will go in with the rest of the pressies, to be handed out at the big family gathering  He's getting a large fluffy, floppy squeaky toy. Haven't worked out what to get Max yet. He is older and doesn't believe in Santa Paws anymore  , so he may just get some tasty treats from Mum and Dad. A bit like giving a box of chocolates to grandma

Max and Beau will also get a nice collection or pressie from OH family. We don't have children, and they all do. As we buy for all the neices and nephews, everyone loves to by our babies something special.
