hi welcome to the forum, all bitches are different regarding seasons,it can be as early as 6 months and as late as 3 or 4 years  .i think the amount of greyhound blood plays a big part in it.our beddy/whippet was 9 months old and came in every 6months like clock work after that.her daughter was 15 months for her first and not had her second yet.(20months old now)hope this helps, there has been other topics on here about it if you can find them

My little girl was 12 months old on the 16th Jan and has just had her first season, they do all seem to very in age, :teehee: good luck with your pup she looks lovely, Di

Just want to hijack this post and thank you for putting my mind to rest as to the right time a bitch can come into season. I was at the vets two days ago having my other whippet micro chipped, when the subject of having my first whippet spade came up with the nurse. I said we were still waiting for her to come into season, (she is nineteen months), the nurse seemed to think this was something to be concerned about and told me to book in with the vet for a check up asap as they regard 15 months as too late! I just feel a little calmer about the situation now, if a bitch can take a few years at the most to have her first show. THANK YOU AGAIN.

Donna.
