Hi

I have a little black whippet bitch called chrissy , she is dying of cancer shes about 14 years old i think. i tried to trace her original owner once before just to get some details about her . i never found him but someone on this forum sent me a video of her racing and told me she was much loved by a chap called gary.

I would dearly love for Chrissy to see Gary one more time . Please if you can help me find her original owner we would be so greatfull. understand im not trying to rehome her i just think maybe she misses him a lot and it would cheer her up to see him again. he maybe missing her too.

any information may help especially a confirmation his name was gary and a surname and a possible town .

I know im being silly , but please indulge me

i think no options first owner was gary wilcox, gary wilcox is now not with us he took his own life several months ago. hope this helps if it the person u were looking for.

its sad, gary was a really good bloke.

I am so sorry to hear of No Options health bless her and even more shocked to hear that Garry has past on.......... he was a gentleman.....

yes thank you somebody pmd me with this information earlier i am so very sorry :( obviously i never knew him . but i really feel that chrissy loved him . this is why i had hoped to reunite them one last time . i was very upset earlier but somebody pointed out that at least sombody will be waiting for her on the other side.

this might sound strange but i spoke to an animal communicator the other day when chrissy was very poorly and i needed to know if she had enough, the lady said she had and it was time for her to go , i asked if she would go on her own or would need help from a vet , the lady said she didnt know she felt that chrissy was torn between two loves one with her now and one that had gone before. hearing this news today what the lady said makes sense :(

No OPTION was indeed a good racing dog but unfortunately she did not race well if she was racing anywhere else but OLD Hall. She, when she had finished each race used to jump straight into Gary's arms and she was always at the track with Gary's jack Russel who used to race after the lure as well. Someone from around Old Hall may still be in contact with his ex- wife who loved the dog just as much.

What a sad thread this is - yet it is obvious that Chrissie has always been a much loved little dog.

I hope that when her time does come, she just goes to sleep and the end is quiet and peaceful.

Please keep us informed, I hope you are able to trace Garys' wife.

hi NaTTY

i have left an answer for you on the whippet breeding data base section

Rocky

Dear Natty, Im so sorry. It was me who sent you the video of Chissy racing at the championships on her home track at Oldhall against our bitch. Gary was a very good friend and Chissy and our bitch Josie had many a race and alot of fun together. I know she was very loved by Gary, and just as loved by you after her racing days. We have so many lovely memories of her.

I hope so goes quietly in her sleep, but if she needs some help on her way by the vet just remember she is going from one set of loving arms to another.

Please keep in touch we are thinking of you and Chissy at this difficult time.
