hello all,

we have 3 days ago collected our Whippet puppy called Buster. he is sooo adorable and cute.

i have been trawling the internet looking for puppy coats for him but cannot find any.

does anyone know of anywhere?

wouldnt have thought you would need a puppy coat, as its a hot summer, mine hardly have one on in winter either

We do them, but you don't need one at this time of year, wasting your money and getting a pup used to being coated at 25 degrees is a recipe for disaster when it gets down to freezing in the winter - you'll be making a right wimp!

at the time she did not have the sizes and colours I wanted, so I contacted her, she made them specially, and I had them here in OZ within a week

But as others already pointed out, you will not need one until the autumn, and in any case pups grow so fast, you would be wasting your money. The size your pup fits now will be far to small in only few weeks time.

If i have a pup in winter and there is a need to dress her, I just get old Tshirt, or piece of polar fleece, make a coat, without any finishing touches, and replace it in couple of weeks.

I suppose you might possibly need something waterproof if we were to have a very wet spell. Grace goes for walks much more cheerfully in the rain if she has a light coat on, and we got a waterproof one with a mesh lining instead of the usual fleece from these guys: Dog coats. They might make you a small one specially if you get in touch - they seem to make up orders when they come in.
