This is my first post! We are the proud owner's of a rather mad 9 month old whippet bitch. This is our first dog, we expected it to be easier than this but it has been worth it all as we couldn't imagine life without her. We are expecting her to start to calm down soon, or at least we hope so! We really think she would benefit from racing or lure coursing, purley for fun. Does anyone know of a good place to go near us, we live in Haydock? Oh, and can anyone confirm that our crazy whippet is normal? and that one day won't be as crazy!!!

She is beautiful  and quite normal :D I normally expect them to be good by the time they get to 2 years old  Yes, you have a while yet

Racing is brilliant fun, and she would love it. The Northern club race at Coppull near Chorley, it used to be our home club when we lived up that way, and you would get a warm welcome. No doubt someone will post on here to tell you about it, although I think they are about to break for winter.

The great thing about racing is that not only do they love it, but they sleep well when they get home, and ours normally sleep most of Monday as well :p I see you only have the one whippet - then be on your guard because they are addictive, and most people end up with a few. Your girlie is very pretty, what is her breeding? Welcome to K9
