I've also seen some good ones over the years-memory not as good as it was but here goes-Rag-racers and a local pair that could more than hold their own with any others were H,Oliphants Yellow-Rose and D.Gills Sunset ,Yellow Rose won the All England Scratch Championships up the tapes and Sunset was the first rag dog to break the nine seconds on Lancasters old uphill track.

Good as Gold-Peter Fitton-4 supreme titles

Cherry-Albert Pickup

Blackie-Ken and Peggy-(split pin)

Indian Joe-Henri Dobie-Scotland

I loved to watch Mo Bex racing. My hubby John never got to see him race but he was a cracker of a heavy weight. I always wanted a pup from him but never got the chance. I also liked Dream Vision and I did get a pup from him :) . The bitches I like way back were Jackie's Lass a middle weight and Cascarra who was from Scotland she could run :D . Those were the day's ;)

Sailor was a little star too!! Just remembered him :D

Three bitches I wouldn't have minded in my kennels where:

George Cumpstons BANG ON

A 30 pounder who won yds/lbs for fun,as big as she was.

Brian Cooper's LITTLE MARY

A class act,with a class owner.

Arthur Ellis's SNOWFLAKE.

top bitch in her day, standing room only when she ran.

When these dogs ran,it was 100 plus dogs and 'all in' too.

WE CAN BUT DREAM, HEY.

GRAHAMS DREAM ,EVITA,OH NEARLY FORGOT WONDERWALL :p

i no ive been out of whippets a long time and i only seen the backend of the careers of ne1,son of a bitch, stormbird and therest of this great litter but they where some scratch dogs. but years ago there was a litter bred out of wishy was and irish lass [greyhound] this litter took everything before them the great wish again was practable unbeatable on the straights breaking track records at nearly every track he run at there was also Blue wish probably the best scratch bend dog ive seen who blew away oposition all over the country .also from this breeding there was Irish lad, irish wish, crazy lady and other great scatch dogs

any way thats enough about scratch dogs yards for lbs the dogs that i would have liked to own where the great Sing on and the ledgendery good as gold to watch this dog glide past hes opposition and win he,s supreme year after year was unbelieveable. and the bitches that i loved to watch run where Another Maid, Honey don,t and Double Handful these bitch where brilliant

with being out of whippets for a while can anybody tell me if these bitches shot anything decent when bred i no honey don,t bred some good ones as i had one out of her myself but what about the other two
