Hello,

quite often my puppy whines...She's 5 months and i often don't know what this means.
Some times she can have eaten, been out, i'm with her and she still whines and whines.
Some times i think i know the answer, for example she wants my husband, or to go out, but often i think i've done everything possible and she's still whining??

Any ideas?

i wish i knew. Bax does the same thing late at night, sometimes in the middle of the night. ill try everything, treats, training, play time, pets, another meal, walkies, LONG walkies...... the only thing that gives me any peace is turning my white noise machine up so i cant hear him. i feel aweful but i legit have no clue what he wants.

Some dogs are just chatty... She could just like the attention she gets when she whines. Or it could be 'The sun has just gone off my bed, can you fix it please?', 'There's a fly on the windowsill and I don't like it,' or she could be bored. Sometimes when my dog whines for no apparent reason, he likes me to bring him a fleecy toy which he nibbles on while I hold it. It seems to be a comfort blanket sort of thing.

Aw. I partly try to give her attention when she whines, but also partly think i shouldn't as that is supporting the whining. To be able to read their minds would be amazing!!!
