Today we lost our little darling Jenna, she was put to sleep this evening, to save her suffering. She would have been 16 years old in February, but didn’t quite make it.
Jenna was homebred from our bitch Whiphaven Bambi, and her sire was Baldrey Black Diamond. We decided to keep Lucy from the litter as soon as she was born, as she was a nice golden fawn. Soon after their eyes opened, Jenna’s little personality came to the fore. I would hold her in my hands and speak to her, and she would listen intently and had the most mesmerising eyes. I told Steve I was getting attached to her, and he said “well why don’t you keep her too?” I didn’t need telling twice, and so she stayed. This picture shows Jenna in bed with her sister Lucy left front. Jenna is the one peeking out - the head without a body! Her other sisters are Minnie (left back), Flash front right, and Fern standing.
