Good old  "Teddy Long Legs" how on earth did he get there?  I'm sure Ells is well happy with two now
We have two as well,a "Leopard Long Leg" & a "Zebra Long Leg" note I said "LEG" as Badger for some reason known only to himself prefers them with one leg only and removes the other pronto  (w00t)

Thanks for cheering us a bit as yes we had a bad day,but Kizzy is now at "Rainbow Bridge" chasing bunnies in the clouds.

RIP Little girl, you will always be loved   :'(

Ellie is in her element, madly squeaking the 2 of them!!

Sometimes you have to say Goodbye, cos its the kindest thing BUT as i told you before its the pants side of having dogs, just so hateful.

In your heart of hearts you know you did the right thing, she had had a wonderful long & loving life & the time had come, rather than see her suffer you did what you had to do.

Kizzy is running free now at rainbow bridge, fit & well & chasing bunnies madly barking her little head off.

Sleep tight tonight & remember all your wonderful memories of the many happy years you shared.

Thinking of you, big hugs from me, Ells & teddy long legs xxx

so sad to hear of your loss :(

i bet kizzy is having a ball chasing those rainbow bridge bunnies

as you say , its the last kindness you can do for your dog , it is so hard but is one of the most selfless things you have to do ,, chin up

you know she had a great life :)

Thank you saraquele,I appreciate your kind words.

Kizzy was a rescue she was 11 or 12 yrs old according to the Vet and we had her for six of those years recently she went blind basically overnight we hung on for months hoping that somehow it would "fix itself" but no,and unfortunately she was getting very distressed to the extent that she stared to refuse to go out or even get down off the sofa in case she hurt herself which in fact she did several times quite badly by walking into things.Whenever we had to go out and at night for her own safety she went into her crate which she had done from the time we got her but more recently she started fighting going in and hurting herself trying to get out,so we thought that the time had come.

The Vet said she had Glaucoma and a huge retinal scar on one eye.We had six great years with her and she will be very sorely missed. :(

I always think that it is part of loving a dog ( or another animal) that when the time comes you have to make a painful decision for their benefit. I think it is the final act of selfless kindness that you give to them. RIP Kizzy. You were loved.

we got short listed in Post Graduate and got fifth(15 entries) with Peter(Solo Knight At Turnstone)

well done to everybody

Well done to all of us that got something!! The entry was massive and Im sure lots of really good dogs went home cardless. Well done Nikki with your baby and Viv with yours.

Frodo (Blandings the Magician at Molecat) was 3rd in open dog behind the CC and Res CC dog, huge top quality class, I was very pleased, he never lets me down  Polly went home with a flea in her ear, too long cast for this judge I suspect. I saw Dessie get something but not sure what :b

Sorry I didnt get around to marking my catalogue, only the first few dog classes.

:b And doubley sorry Dawn, we have been given two separate bins one for recycling and David has thrown Linda Jones away. Im sure if you give her a ring she will be glad to send a copy to you. Perhaps next year it may save you a lot of hastle if you sent most judges a SAE requesting their write up before the show. I dont mean they would know thier write up before thay have judged
