I'm just currently going through whats been hours of editing when I've been informed that an individual has made a complaint about action shots being posted on k9 that they feel potrays their dog in a poor light.

Whilst I haven't yet recieved a formal complaint from the sites admin, I do feel that my own photos will also be subject to a complaint because I have no control over the subject manner and how it behaves on a track.

However, it should be noted that whatever is exhibited at a public event is open to the public domain's viewing and as such the law allows me to take photographs and retain copyright of my material without the need of a model release. Furthermore I was formally invited to take photographs of the derby and it should be noted that at the events I attend, I also take photographs of the winners with their trophies as well as their action shots. I would be very careful about putting in a formal request to me about excluding your dog from photographs for this reason but I will honour any requests made.

Until I recieve a formal complaint, I can do what I will with these photos and as such, they will be published on my website but out of respect of the admin on this website who are likely to recieve complaints, they shall not be published on K9.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

HOW ABOUT THE FOOTBALL MATCH COME ON JAC

Seriously?? How can you be portraying a dog in a bad light, if it is doing something it shouldnt be on a frequent basis maybe this should prompt them into taking action and preventing it! Dont see how you can be 'portraying it' lol as they say the camera never lies!!!!

Or if there is a picture that doesnt look very good surely they could ask you personally just to remove that one picture from your posts!

Think you do fantastic work Jac, the pictures you take, the effort you put in and the time it takes to edit and upload them is great, think people should just be more appreciative, as most people say its great to see your dog in action, I wish you were about taking pics when Tig was running!!

Keep up the great work matey xx

Jaqui, I personally love you to take photos of any of my dogs and I love to see them posted on K9. All the work and effort you put into your photography should be applauded. You sit at the side of the tracks for hours and in all weather to enable us to have photos of the different events. As Wendy has already said it is wonderful to be able to see the action shots of meetings when you are unable to attend youself. Please carry on with your good work.

Come on jac u 2 thick skinned to take any notice of people like that u take people feeling into account and if they feel so bad about there dogs pic/s all they have to do is ask u not to take a pic of there dog/s and u don't.I knw this for a fact :D
