Hi, I'm looking for some information about owning a whippet I have Border Collies just know but have always :wub: Whippets. Can anyone recommend a good book or website, so I can swot up to make sure I'll give a whippet a good home :cheers: .

When we were looking at ggetting a whippet we bought "Whippet (Pet Love)" by

Juliette Cunliffe and did not finad the need to look for another one its great with loads of info and tips. You can buy it in most pet shops.

It depends what you want to know. For general, everyday, practical information this site is as good as it gets :thumbsup: For breed history/background I'd recommend :

The English Whippet - Walsh & Lowe

and

The whippet - Healy Moran

Get The English Whippet NOW while the new edition is currently in print - they are like gold dust, I paid £40 for mine and thought that was a bargain at the time.

I've got all three so far recommended and would say that the Cunliffe book is the most practical for every day things but the other two are fascinating, especially the English Whippet which, as Elizabeth says, is an absolute must.
