Through my work I have heard of a 10month female whippet pup who needs a new home due to a change in circumstance of the present owner. The owner is very upset at having to rehome Sally and has asked the breeder but they dont want to know

She is also asking a couple of Whippet/ lurcher rescues so hopefully between all of us we will find a good home. :luck:

As a last resort Sally may end up in the local dogs home who don't do home visits so could end up anywhere  but I think I would find a foster mum for her before that could happen. Noooooooo, NOT ME. My last foster dog is still here 8 months later :D

SALLY

10months, spayed

Brindle

Good with children, dogs and lives with 4 cats but will chase them

Sorry I dont have a photo but having spoken to the owner can tell that Sally is a lovely dog.

She is in the Blackley area of Manchester.

If anyone is interested please PM me for details. I'm away now till Sunday evening so will get back to you then.

This makes me really angry why do people breed a litter if they are not going to take responsilbility for them

Is she a pedigree or non ped? show bred or race bred?

I hope your friend manages to hang onto her until a new forever home can be found.

If you pm me the details JT I will pass on any enquiries we get looking for an older whippet.

Makes my blood boil as well!!

Hope she finds a good home soon. :luck: Sounds more like MONEY MAKERS than real breeders to me. I"m not far from the area so if i can be of any help, please pm me.

hope she gets a nice new home :luck:

i would never buy a dog from a breeder who didnt care about them enough to at least help with rehoming one of their own pups

There is a post on today in this forum by 'JonandAmanda' who are looking for a pet whippet.....

:luck:

fingers crossed she gets a home for life.

How awlful for her...hope she finds a forever home with loads of love

Thanks to everyone who PMd me about Sally to offer a home or to pass on details of possible contacts.

I am now quite cross as I thought I'd found a possible good home but I've just phoned Sallys owner to tell her and she has rehomed Sally over the weekend after placing an ad in a paper.

While I am glad for Sally, if the home is a good one & who knows as no home visit was done, I am still annoyed that she didn't bother to phone & let me know.

So thanks again to everyone & sorry if anyones hopes were raised for nothing :(

All I can do is hope Sally has gone to a suitable home :luck:

Julie.

edited to say she has gone to live in Halifax, so if a brindle whippet appears near to anyone living there it may be Sally.

Fingers crossed it will be a good home, at least you took the time to try and sort her out something suitable, shame her owners couldnt wait for you to find someone.

try ringing the rescue, they have loads of people waiting for suitable dogs and they will get a donation
