Hi i have only just subcribed to this website. i have 2 pedigree whippet,a dog & a bitch both under 2 yrs. i took them to Arthington Agricultural show & tried them both lure racing. They both did ok but my bitch seem 2 be good at it. i got told to register on here to find out about it further and about where racing events are held & also got told to go to the great yorks show ground this weekend to the simulated racing. i no nothing about racing,can any body help me???

Hi Becky, I could move this to one of the racing forums for you to get more response. Do you have KC reg whippets, or unregistered? They race separately, and you will be welcomed to either, but it would be best to point you in the right direction from the beginning. Welcome to K9 :thumbsup: Also where in the country are you?

Ooops, must go back to Specsavers - I see you already said pedigree whippets. Tell me what area you are in, and I'll direct you to the nearest club. There is a section on here called Pedigree Whippet Racing - it's here http://www.k9community.co.uk/forums/index.php?showforum=3

You are quite near to Trishg on here, she is from Leeds. She has a whippet or two :- and I'm sure she would be happy to guide you. Your nearest clubs are the Northern PWRC which is at Chorley in Lancs, or the Lancashire PWRC which is run by Mark Roberts, and I think races at Rochdale???? Unfortunately there isn't a pedigree club in Yorkshire - but it would be well worth the journey to travel to one of these clubs to race :thumbsup:
