I have been asked to arrange a meal for the racers for after the Open on Sunday. I will call some that I think will want to join us but anyone reading this that does please give me a call 01264 363444. It will be after racing and presentation and will be a roast ( probably Chicken)and we will use the room above the pub ( coz we are a rowdy lot) I do need numbers by Thursday @ the latest. Thanks

I think you need to get ya'selves down here Now you can see why Steve and I moved down - we didn't have any kids to worry about though, and schools etc. There was one year we did almost every open, I think we only missed Cornwall. Steve was knackered by the end of the season, all that hooking up the caravan, driving down the M6, back late on Sunday night to park up the caravan in the dark, then up early for work on Monday. Only to do it all again on Friday :lol: :lol: :lol: Then he said we couldn't carry on like that, we would have to think of moving down. People laugh when I say we moved from Lancashire to be nearer the hub of whippet racing :lol: :teehee:

We are off up the field tonight( long journey of 2 miles) to join the other campers. Between them they have had loose water pipes soaking bedding ,dodgy electrics and water pumps amonst lots of other capers.....oh the world of caravaning...we love it :lol:

We are off up the field tonight( long journey of 2 miles) to join the other campers. Between them they have had loose water pipes soaking bedding ,dodgy electrics and water pumps amonst lots of other capers.....oh the world of caravaning...we love it :lol:

Have a great time up there Lesley, we're giving our caravan an airing the week after. I hope the rain comes overnight only for the next 3 nights - that should do :thumbsup:

Been to the field earlier, the ground is looking superb , sun has showed its face today pm 8) , lots of people camping ,off over to have a bevvie with them shortly. Evening meal booked for 32 (w00t) for after racing, safe journey to all traveling to us tomorrow were gonna have a great day :thumbsup: (bring lots of pennies for the Tombola and the raffle )
