Whippet Stars

EVERYONE has to pay the £12.50 , even us folk who are setting it up ( and putting everything awayat the end of a long day) sorry and all that :b

Not going as I'm judging at Ardingly that day. Must admit that the £12.50 entrance fee would have put me off anyway, even though Staveley is only about 25 minutes away. Having said that the caterers are superb but think if we want to encourage more people to go as spectators the entrance fee needed to be considerably less.

Has anyone heard what the weather is going to be like around Staveley this weekend? Do I need to pack my thermals :- " on my journey over the Irish Sea?

It's rather chilly her in Northern Ireland at the moment, is Derbyshire the same? :b

I think you can pay on the door too , Price £12.50 this includes a meal of course  ;)

JAX -at what time does the judging start?

Who is stewarding avec vous? :- "

From 2003 WoTYApart from meeting up with my mates and having a good natter it was thoroughly boring!!!!!!!!!!! sad.gif

No anticipation, no, well nothing really . For those that didn`t go all the pups were judged by the 3 judges Dawn put on earlier , After that Shirly Rawlings just came out and said the winner is>>>>>>>>>>.. No ,In 5th place . in 4th place etc , no finale to it at all

The adults were done in the same way only this time irt was shortlisted to 8 , I must admit it was good to see all the `best `whippets of 2003 in one ring . tongue.gif

END OF MOAN cheers.gif

the above was posted by JAX following the WOTY 2003 which was also held at Staveley. I am certain that things will be a lot better this year - even the lighting in the hall is better than before.

Just wonder who the three judges are .

Last year the judges weren't awarding points. They made a simple choice of dog from the two they were 'judging' tte dog with either two or three votes won and went through to the next round. The day started with ALL the winning dogs in the ring together. I recall this was before the judges were announced so anyone who, on seeing the judges, didn't favour their chance could not withdraw without it being obvious.
