Myself and my partner have been the proud owners of our whippet for over a year and a half now (Hutchy - who came from Parkstone Buttons (stud)). We both love him to bits and couldn't imagine being without him. We do however feel that now would be a good time to try and find a companion for him. We are looking for another male (from puppy to up to 3 yrs old) and would be extremely grateful if any members could point us in the right direction of where we may find his perfect companion?

with many thanks

karen

Hi Kaz welcome to k9. İ wish you well with your search for a companion for your fella. İ also have a Parkstone whippet.

Hi again,

just wanted to thank you all for your kind wishes. :)

I forgot to say that we live in Sheffield and would be willing to travel about 2 hours either way. Jean, I think Scotland would be a bit far for us but thanks for your post.

Just another question, our whippy is crate trained and when we get the new pup, would they be able to sleep in the same crate, providing they get on!!(its obviously a large size and would fit two whippets in no probs).?? Just wondered if anyone had any views on that.

Thanks in advance

Karen

Hi Karen from Karen (no I havnt got a Parkstone Whippet :D )

Welcome. Your Whippys will love snuggling up together in one crate. Also you will find having two is much easier, the 2nd one will settle in real quick.

Hi again.

I crated my young dog with another when she was a pup and she never had a bad night. I think the company stopped her missing her litter mates. Go for it and good luck with the search.

Thanks to everyone for their kind advice. You may be glad to hear that we picked up our 2nd whippet this weekend. He is 10 weeks and we have decided to call him Finley.

Many thanks again,

Karen

Hiya all,

Just want to let you know that weve almost got the camera sorted and we hope to post some pics on Saturday.

Hutchy is still wary of Finlay but they are gorgeous and we.re hoping that Hutchy will let Finlay lie on top of him sometime soon cos when Finlay jumps on the bed, Hutchy jumps off!!

Look forward to showing you the pics this weekend

Thanks for all your replies

Karen
