I have done obedience with my whippets for a long time, (nearly 50 years!) with varied success The first was Ballagan William Wallace who managed a 3rd prize in a Novice class. In those days the main opposition were Alsatians

More recently Ch Bruntsfield Playaway has done a fair bit but not managed cards in open competitions, the ubiquitous Border Collies are too much of a challenge for us, but he has had firsts at companion shows and at the Whippet Club's obedience show. Also GC Gold award He really enjoys showing off, especially for food! I think a greedy dog is a lot easier to train

I find the bitches harder to train as they do not like to leave Mum , but several of mine have done the silver and bronze GC but are not so keen to retrieve, they like to take the toy away and kill it!
