 hope those locks are good

I had a friend years ago who came home to an empty gerbil cage and 2 worn out dogs - the gerbs were never seen again :x

Ahh poor girlie she's being eyed up! lol  I like that cage where'd you get it from? I recently bought a rotastak for my Hammy she seems to like it

It's not the whippety girls in our house that are the gerbil slayers, but the flippin cats, they've had the kids 3 gerbils, even though we were told it was a cat proof cage :x

That looks a great cage for your hamster. Did you get one like that because she chewed through plastic?

This is what our last hamster did to her very nice plastic cage............. (w00t) :- "

And this is the glass replacement - the new one, Echo, is still constantly searching for a way out though!!!! (w00t) :sweating:

Zephyr says.......let her out mum (w00t)

You're joking Juley - Zephyr is scared of her!!!! (w00t) :huggles:

A while ago, we were looking after a friend's hamster and she escaped from her (cheap rubbish)cage and we only knew because Zephyr was lying down in my son's room, looking at something intently from a safe distance  :- " :sweating:

I'm sure it's because the cats gave him such a sorting out as a puppy, he is hugely respectable of all small fluffy things that might just have sharp claws and scarey teeth! ;)

Noopy, have you got any close up pix of Millie?

Here is one of Echo Midnight (I know, but it wasn't me who named her!! :teehee: ).

This is Millie. She belongs to Kayleigh my daughter. She was 9 weeks old in this picture(her 1st night) i got the cage from Nanny. she works in PDSA chartiy shop and gets 1st pickings when stuff comes in before it goes in the shop. It is a rat cage that was brought yesterday for £47 and the rat never got to go in it. I dont know why. So it was dontate to sell in the shop and Nanny brought it for Millie.

Las V your hammy is lovely colour. im thinking of getting one more hamster as Kayleigh is really good with Millie.

That reminds me of my boy Hero (Juley knows him well! :D ) Once on a cold winters walk he picked up a mouse in his mouth & very gently put it down again, gave it a gentle lick & trotted off up the path! Bless him. Mind you he too had been beaten up by my ginger cat several times(w00t)

Not to put in with Millie I hope (w00t)

I would love another hamster but unfortunately Archie (the mad rodent eating cat) :x lives here and he bites the heads off anything small & furry

This is why we longer have our hammy or budgie for that matter :- "

having this new cage means Millys old cage is empty shame to waste a good cage!!

Lovely pictures of Millie, Sydney and Ollie!

Funnily enough, I am enjoying hamsters much more now I'm an adult  - I used to worry about mine all the time when I was a child, as they were always dying and I always thought it was my fault :( - no-one told me they didn't live very long! :- "

Now, I often go in for a little play with Echo when no-one else is at home. :b :- "
