Mrs Imperative, Pinky P and myself voyaged down to Somerset for a break with Kai, Stirling and Scarlet. Arrived eventually at the camp site to find that our new tent was a pole and instructions short!!!! (Theses campers that dont check their new wares before use :clown: :- " ) Luckily the saviour of K9, Rae and Gary most generously offered us the use of their caravan, which we took 2 seconds to accept. Thankyou so much for that both of you :huggles: we dont know what we would have done, apart from share the crate with the dogs :blink:

The camping and caravan site is lovely, clean and quiet (well nearly all of the time, midnight on Thursday was a bit quiet :- " :lol: ) cant forget the great walks all available from Rae to take your dogs on :thumbsup: Anyway less of the rambling and heres a few pics from our break

Scarlet is a natural hunter she hears everything!!! She sometimes wouldn't move kind of telling us "Come on you lot theres something in them trees"

We then spent an afternoon at Dunster Beach which has a dog friendly section, heres Scarlet doing what she does best retrieving

Due to family commitments we had to miss out on the K9 weekend and get back to Brummyland for Saturday night, unfortunately the camp site was now fully booked so we managed to get a night in Wales A lovely dog friendly site near Buith Wells, a georgeous place Managed a walk in the hills and woods there

Thanks again Rachel and Gary your stars, I highly recommend their site to any K9ers thinking of taking the caravan and camping holiday route :thumbsup:

I know we will be back, sunny holidays abroad and dogs in kennels

Thanks Yes we had a wonderful time Barbara a much needed break for us all Hope you had a good days racing in Somerset on Sunday (if you went) we met a lovely man cant remember his name (wooooosh bad memory :wacko: ) but he has a champ dog pied piper is it???? Anyway said he knew you and complimented you on your knowledge Thanks again

Oh. :b Steve Robinson dog is Rch Chase The Pied Piper (who is Rae's Lucas's dad). I've been a member of West Somerset for several years now. They (the Robinson's) run a lovely club. We stayed at home and tried to recharge our batteries last Sunday. But several other K9 board members did go racing at the club.

Thats it :b Yes Steve invited us up on Sunday for some trialing but due to not being there we couldnt go Sometimes a good recharge is needed eh! Even though our Hols was lots of walking etc we had that recharge both mentally and physically, all back and raring to go now (w00t)

Youve loads of room Rae could easily squeeze at least another 3 in there :- " Yes Scarlet is Miss Energy always on the go but wouldnt have her any other way Just wish she was a better traveller :x :x :x Which starts the boys off :x :x :x Hence Kai looking rather skinny in some of those pics :blink:
