Who Remembers This?

It was Bernard Cribbins who sang it I think. I remember it, too old!!!!!!!!!!

My hand is up!!

I remember it, and my dad used to sing it too

Don't remember that particular Rolf Harris one - the young woman was brilliant with the actions LOL.

This is one of my favourite ones - my daughter was born the same year as this was released and her initials ERN so we were forever singing this to her.

I also remember the "Laughing Policeman" Gillian. We had an old gramophone when I was small - the loudpseaker was behind a door at the front of the gramophone. I used to open the door, and to me the speaker looked like a long lane going into a mysterious place. I thought the policeman was up that lane. (w00t)

Juley - you've got me in tears now. :'( I love that record but it is so sad.

As ERNIE reminds me of my daughter "Two Little Boys" reminds me of my two boys playing in the 1960s.

I'm sure many on here will remember this chap and the band.

Singer Dave Dee has died today (January 9) following a three-year cancer battle. He was 65.

The '60s singer was the lead vocalist for Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich, whose hit singles included 'Bend It' (1966) and 'The Legend Of Xanadu', which went to Number One in the UK Singles Chart in 1968.

Record plugger Sean Cooney told BBC News that despite his health problems, Dee had remained positive throughout his illness. "He didn't let it get him down. He was defying it," Cooney said.

Between 1965 and 1969, Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich spent more time in the UK Singles Chart than The Beatles. Dee left the group in 1969, although he rejoined the band in the '90s to play nostalgia shows.

Dee, whose real name was David Harman, performed with the band until his death.
