just had the news on,schools shut all over,bad down here, and we on the coast road,dont get it this bad as a rule.dogs love it skys doing laps round the car at 50miles an hour.its big news now bad snow when i was a kid we used to get it 4 foot deep.

We have loads of snow, but the kids still had to go to school. Just seen a snow plough going past,,,but it's getting heavy again. I think the schools will be shut tomorrow as we have not seen the bad snow as of yet.

Looks like West Lothian is still moving as the bus has gone by too

Having a snow day myself today, I wasn't too worried at 6am about getting TO Huddersfield from here but given the weather I was more worried about getting home again.

Glad I stopped at home now, Rob's just phoned and Doncaster College is closing as of 12pm, we drove him in this morning and nipped to the shops close by the college, it was like playing skiddy bump in the car park and Mum's heavy old Astra Estate was not faring too well, at one point we had to drive across the roundabout instead of round as the car decided it just didn't want to go !!!

About 3 inches here already and we're worse than Doncaster. It's snowing heavier now, Freya loves it she's been charging around the garden with Blaze and Lucy and Jessica have been joining in. Sensible Kerri and Talli stayed in the warm .

We've had quite a few inches in Wakefield but unforunately I managed to get into work :angry: I got a day off just before christmas though when the bus was moving at snails pace! I rung work, told them I wasn't coming in and walked home

I drove Joe to college this morning only to find that Joe, his mate Kieran and the cleaner were the only ones there :lol: Brought them home again (not the cleaner)! Vinnie hasnt seen snow before and after the initial shock of it - went beserk in it. Ozzy took one look and went back to bed :lol:

Just got back in after whizzing round all the old folk that I visit (thats my job) and I just thought I'd say if you're at home today and one of your neighbours is elderly just pop round and check they're OK. Im sure they'll really appreciate it. :thumbsup: Mine are all living in sheltered and I check them every day but I still found one trying to make it to town because she was out of milk and 3 others short of essentials.....of course they're fine now. We that have cars forget that the vulnerable only buy small quantities cos they have to carry it. Serious bit over enjoy the day

School closed today woo hoo - half the staff couldn't get in so decided to close, aolthough some of us concientious types did stay for a while well about an hour and half Back home now and waiting for Sade and Bobby I feel a snowman maybe the order of the day now. Although i don't really want anyone in my garden to spoil the white untouched stuff i love it when no one has walked in it - can't see it staying like that for long though when the 'dingles' arrive (Sorry Sade)
