Hi folks . I joined this forum years ago when it was the K9 community.Due to fallings-out and the allegation that personal messages were apparently being read by others than they were for and the owner then giving up,the forum died a death. I have always checked in as a visitor to see what's going on. Lately I began to feel bad about so many unanswered questions from people needing help,so I decided to try to take a more active part.

I am confused as to why so few people actually post- when 47 are visiting, why has no one posted for 3 days?

I have been wondering this myself, I was beginning to think that there was a problem with my computer or maybe even that I had been banned for some reason and was being prevented from reading posts!

I too find that there is a lot of inactivity. It's such a shame as could be a great source of help and information

I, recently, could not gain access. I tried ever combination of passwords, asked for new password etc. No joy. I had to re register using the figure "2" in my user name. It was like drawing teeth! I had the time to mess around trying to gain access. Others may not have the time :(

I log in most days but, as you say, not much activity.

I was wondering too! I have found some of the advice from you guys really helpful, and it seems to be a friendly community (I also am on another forum and am bemused at how much bitching - sorry, couldn't resist that one - goes on).

I just thought nobody had had any questions for a couple of weeks!

I agree there can be a lot of bitching on some other forums and while I respect opinions its unfair when people push it on you and presume their way is always best! Its always nice and helpful and friendly here!!

I guess a good way to get the forum going again would be to think of some really interesting threads to post - let's get our heads together and work it out :)

I think the "bitching" is just a fact of life.

I take a l o n g time carefully wording how I reply to some posts, but if I'm in a hurry I know that I don't always get it right and there is always someone ready to jump down your throat!!

It is difficult to reply sometimes especially if you are passionate about the particular subject, not to sound "too bossy and know it all" (even if you know that you are 100% right).

There is a fine line between putting your ideas forward and not offending someone.

You are right excuseme; written language lacks the huge part of vocal and other non-verbal communication but I've seen some very deliberately placed shockers on the other forum, which is one of the reasons I will always come back to this one. It looks like things are picking up again here though, so that's good to see.

Do you think people may be having a problem logging in to this forum or is there no one else on this planet (maybe were alone! ) :sweating:

I had a couple of odd error messages yesterday about being restricted to the number of messages I could post within a timeframe and to retry in 14 seconds. I didn't think I'd been particularly active! Are there moderators or administrators for the site?

It does seem there are just usome. Though gypseysmum and dogmatic are around too.....

The trouble is a handful of people can't keep a forum going, there's just not enough to say

If people are experiencing what I went through to gain access then they will give up. Nothing I tried, under my old user name, worked. I began to wonder if I had been barred!

Hi, I used to be an active member on the forum ..but it always seemed to be dead..i do pop on from time to time see what's going on ..but usually there is nothing happening..its a shame , it has the ability to be a nice friendly meeting place
